In Japan, Katsu is fried pork, and don is rice ball. But the Katsudon does not have Katsu. I am surprised that how Japanese food in America is different to the Japanese food in Japan. For example the chicken teriyaki is not famous in Japan. We do not eat Chicken Teriyaki like that.
the Japanese food in America is not real Japanese food. I think that the Japanese food in America is Americanized.
Its very interesting that we eat different food from the culture that brought it here. I wonder what other food is Americanized from different cultures?
